Several types of counselling services are available.

With patients undergoing treatment, the doctor may recommend support counselling, but we appreciate that it is the patient's prerogative to decide whether they do, or do not, wish to avail themselves of this facility.

Assessment counselling is required for fertility requests made by single women, women in a same sex relationship, couples where the female partner is over the age of 50 and for all cases of surrogacy, before an application for treatment can be put to our Internal Review Committee.

Elisabeth Braun and Gosia Heeley work with Sofia Flyckt and Sarah Layland who organise the Logan Centre's egg, sperm and embryo donation programme. Their contact details are: Telephone 020 7486 2598, Fax 020 7486 2535, E-mail info@logancentre.co.uk

You should allow one hour for each session and there will be time to ask questions as well. If it has been indicated to you that you need to see two separate counsellors, we recommend that when you register for two separate counselling sessions, you leave some time to think in between the sessions, so you are able to address questions in your second session, which might have surfaced from the first counselling discussion.
Fertility treatment can be lengthy and frustrating and an emotionally charged process. Our counsellors are employed to support you at every stage of your treatment. Please be sure to contact the Centre for any additional counselling you may require.
