1. You will fill out an application form and mail it back to us. You should include
a cheque for £250 (£350 for foreign registration) made payable to Logan Centre for
Assisted Reproduction. If you are a new patient or have not been seen by one of our
specialist consultants at London Fertility Centre in the past twelve
months, you need to make an appointment to see them before we proceed to match you
with a suitable donor. To do so, please call Cherelle Rustin on 020 7317 1073.

2.You do not need to have a referral from your GP for your initial consultation. Your appointment can be made any weekday between 09:00 and 15.30. However, we suggest that you make your appointment well in advance, as we cannot guarantee appointments on short notice. You will also be required to place a £50 deposit when booking the first visit with us, which is refundable at your counselling session. Should you need to cancel your appointment, please advise us 48 hours in advance, other-wise your deposit will be retained. At the Logan Centre you will discuss any emotional or practical matters with one of our counsellors. We ask that your partner (if you have one) come with you if possible.
To join our waiting list, we will also require you to have a CMV (Cytomegalovirus) blood test done. You can either have this done at London Fertility Centre or at your local GP. If you choose to do it with us, you can arrange to have it done at your consultation. If you prefer to have it done by your GP, please ask to be tested for two different antibodies: IgG and IgM.

3. Upon receipt of your registration, payment and CMV result, you will be placed onto our waiting list and we will inform you of the current waiting status at that time. This may vary from month to month depending on donor supply and other factors that will be explained to you at your first consultation with us.
4. When a suitable donor is found, we will inform you of her details (as much as confidentiality permits) at which time, if you are in agreement, we will ask her for her estimated expenses.
5. You will be informed of this and we will make an appointment for you to come and see us for a counselling session and further clarification of any points that may arise regarding egg donation (or other concerns that you may have).
6. Once the matching is completed, we will hand over your match to the egg donation department at the London Fertility Centre who will then synchronise your menstrual cycle with your donor's cycle. They will do this together with Dr. Rami Al-Nasser who is the egg donation doctor. Please note that LFC will require an upfront deposit of £6000 (this figure may change and you should ask for an accurate figure at your first appointment with the LFC) before synchronisation begins.
Overall, you should budget for approximately £7000 to £7500 for a straight egg donation cycle.
This figure may vary due to extra examinations or treatments you or your donor may require as well as donor's expenses. Please note that our donors are not allowed to be paid under UK law, although you must cover all of their reasonable expenses. The donor may require childcare , have travel expenses, loss of earnings or an agency nurse to go out to her home to give the hormone injections.
Counselling

In addition to the initial consultation, we would like to assure you that a counsellor will be available to see you for support throughout your treatment and following any treatment at London Fertility Centre if required. This is on appointment basis only.
